Advice for Road Runners: The Asics Women’s Gel-Kayano 29 Running Shoes,  here in the Black/Summer Dune colourway, have been radically redesigned. They’re the lightest Kayano ever and offer a much softer and more responsive feel than before.

Underfoot Feel

The midsole uses Flytefoam Blast Plus foam for a plush feel with superb responsiveness. Gel cushioning in the heel also adds impact protection and helps to reduce lower leg rotation. The midsole adapts to specific pressures placed upon it due to the 3D Space Construction used.

The sole unit provides a bigger ground contact area which smooths transitions. Additional stability is delivered through the LITETRUSS system which provides a more compliant feel than the firmer support system which it replaces. The addition of an Ortholite X-55 sockliner optimises underfoot comfort.

Upper Fit

The engineered stretch-knit upper is made of at least 50% recycled materials and is highly breathable and supportive. The heel counter further enhances rearfoot stability.

Ideal Run Type

The Asics Women’s Gel-Kayano 29 Running Shoes build upon the legacy of Asics’ premium stability shoe, offering comfort without compromise. These shoes are a great choice if some extra stability is needed when training. Cushioned and protective, they perform brilliantly on longer runs at slow or steadier paces.

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
