Underfoot Feel

The midsole features two layers of CloudTec Helion cushioning, providing superior impact protection while also giving a propulsive underfoot feel. The Speedboard delivers great energy return when picking up the pace and will also help propel you forward as your legs tire.

The sticky rubber outsole is made from Missiongrip that works well on slippery wet surfaces.

The sole features three different grip patterns to accommodate mixed terrains. Firstly, at the rear, wider studs offer great durability when heel striking, ideal for confidence when downhill running. Multi-angled studs at the toe and midfoot provide great traction on soft ground and ensure an easier toe-off. Finally, the rectangular stud in the forefoot optimises grip on a variety of terrain and adds versatility to the traction.

Overall the grip is perfect for sections of road, gravel paths, forest trail and rocky routes.

Upper Fit

Specially designed for ultra runners, the FlipRelease feature helps release pressure on the foot when running long distances. As the foot swells, runners can flick the switch to loosen the upper quickly, reducing pressure. This also allows for adjustable support and fit at different stages of your run.

The perforated breathable fabric has a sock-fit construction for optimal comfort and a bumper design on the lateral edge also gives extra protection and durability.

Ideal Run Type

The On Men’s Cloudultra Running Shoes are well-cushioned trail shoes, designed for ultra distance running on mixed surfaces. They are packed with features to cope with the demands of long hours on tough terrain.

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
