Advice for Road Runners: The Saucony Women’s Endorphin Speed 3 Running Shoes in the Black/Goldstruck colourway offers many of the fast-feeling benefits of the Endorphin Pro 3, but in a shoe designed with a slightly wider range of use in mind.
Underfoot Feel
Instead of a carbon fibre plate, this shoe uses a semi-rigid nylon plate which provides a slightly softer underfoot feel, making it more suited to more regular fast-paced training, but still beneficial for some racing.
The revised plate now incorporates winged geometry, making the shoe slightly more stable under the arch and more suited to regular training mileage.
The PWRRUN PB midsole foam has been slightly increased in thickness and is a blend of Pebax and TPU, making it extremely lightweight and responsive. Ideal for fast running, this midsole material is 40% lighter with 88% higher energy return than PWRRUN+, Saucony’s next most premium midsole foam.
The plate also adds structure to the midsole foam, creating a springboard effect while also enhancing the rolling motion of the shoe. This rocker-like technology, known as SpeedRoll, combines the curved geometry with a stiff forefoot to increase your cadence which helps you pick up speed.
It drives the heels up and pushes the hips forward as you run, and creates increased forward momentum. This effect improves your ability to sustain pace as your muscles and tendons won’t tire as quickly.
Upper Fit
This latest version of the Saucony Women’s Endorphin Speed 3 Running Shoes retains the supportive heel collar introduced into the previous version and uses a slightly softer mesh for a more comfortable feel.
Ideal Run Type
If you’re looking for a cushioned, stable and quick-feeling performance running shoe for fast-paced runs, sessions or races, then take a look at the Saucony Women’s Endorphin Speed 3! It’s designed with speed in mind!
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
