Advice for Road Runners: The sixth edition of one of Hoka’s groundbreaking stability shoes, the Arahi has undergone some small changes to enhance the fit and feel of this already brilliant shoe. The Arahi 6 in the Outer Space/Bellwether Blue colourway provides a ride that is smooth and supportive, while still prioritising performance. The light midsole materials are now complemented by a more breathable mesh upper which also reduces the overall weight of the shoe from the previous version. Reliable J-Frame™ stability technology continues to provide support and stability just when it’s needed throughout your run while a plusher tongue improves comfort across the top of the foot.
The Arahi 6 offers dynamic stability and may be a great option for runners who are more unstable on one foot than the other. It provides soft cushioning and protection, particularly when running at slower to steady paces. Hoka’s Meta Rocker design acts to reduce the stress loads placed on the lower leg and can make this shoe an excellent option for runners who may suffer from tightness in the calves and Achilles tendon.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles. Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes). This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
