Advice for Road Runners: Part of the ASICS Project Speed range, the Magic Speed in the eye-catching Mako Blue/Clear Blue colourway brings the benefits of carbon-plated running shoes to regular training runs. Designed to help you push for new personal bests, this bouncy shoe combines Asics responsive FF BLAST™ cushioning with an energy returning carbon plate for propulsive toe-offs. The foam also has two different densities, soft on top and firmer foam below to add to the soft yet responsive feel. GUIDESOLE™ technology propels you forward with the curved midsole geometry. This guides the foot smoothly from heel to toe, reducing the stress on the lower legs and helping you to push the pace. The combination of these three elements helps improve running efficiency, making running for longer feel easier. Bring carbon-plated running to your everyday training and experience the difference in the soft yet energetic Magic Speed!
The upper is made using a breathable engineered mesh, with a streamlined fit ideal for faster-paced running. It hugs the foot with a sock-like fit, no-sew construction and a flat lay tongue that reduces any chance of irritation. An AHAR™ rubber outsole provides excellent abrasion resistance, improving the durability of these lightweight shoes that feel great over a wide range of speeds and distances.
The Magic Speed is an incredibly versatile new shoe on the market from ASICS. As more and more runners look to carbon-plated shoes to help them run faster, this shoe is an amazing and accessible carbon-plated option that can be used for training and racing at any speed.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles. Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes). This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
