adidas | Men’s Terrex Speed Ultra Running Shoes

Advice for Trail Runners: Designed in collaboration with adidas elite athletes to offer lightweight performance over long distances, the adidas Terrex Speed Ultra in the Blue Rush/Matte Silver/Turbo colourway is one fast shoe! The shoe uses technologies which will provide optimum performance on hard-packed or gravel terrain.

With a midsole combining soft, springy and supportive  Lightstrike foam with responsive BOOST foam cushioning in the rearfoot, the shoe delivers a perfect balance between protection, comfort, responsiveness and weight.

The design of the sticky Continental rubber outsole was inspired by gravel bike tyres and features 2.5mm lugs, offering superb traction on compact terrain, enhanced by the medial and lateral rocker shape. The lugs along the edges of the outsole are slightly larger than those elsewhere to ensure optimal grip and save on weight. 

The upper is super lightweight, highly breathable and drains very effectively when wet. A padded tongue and heel enhance comfort, and a secure fit round the heel is ensured by the use of an anti-slip lining in the shoe.

The Terrex Speed Ultra is ideal for long distance trail running and gives a fast, comfortable and protective feel for the longest runs on compact or gravel terrain.

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles. Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes). This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
