Advice for Road Runners: The FreshFoam 860v12 in the Garnet/Pink Glo colourway is the latest version of the hugely popular 860 Series from New Balance.

With a softer layer of FreshFoam cushioning in the base of the midsole than before, the 860v12 offers an improved step-in feel and an enhanced level of stability for those runners needing some additional guidance through their gait cycle.

The revised heel design still tapers away from the Achilles tendon and reduces the possibility of irritation in this area, but incorporates a slightly more supportive heel counter which offers more control when required. When added to the new double jacquard engineered mesh upper, the overall result is a plusher, softer shoe which doesn’t compromise in delivering reliable stability.

The 860v12 is a reliably stable and responsive shoe, perfect for a mix of easy-paced and longer runs. 

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles. Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes). This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
