Look fast and feel fast in this bright edition of one of the most popular carbon fibre plated racing shoes. The Ekiden Pack was inspired by Japanese long-distance running relays. However, the Alphafly 2 should do more than inspire; they should help you to run faster times.

Underfoot Feel

The midsole in the Alphafly 2 is designed to feel highly cushioned and propulsive thanks to the:

• Zoom Air Units;
• Full-length ZoomX foam; and
• A full-length carbon fibre plate.

Simply put, they feel very forgiving underfoot. They also return so much energy that it makes it easier to build and then maintain your speed. 

There are likely to be few other shoes that help your feet and legs to feel as fresh as possible towards the end of the marathon.

Upper Fit

The Atomknit material is part of the Flyknit family of materials. It is strong and very lightweight. It provides support where needed, but will help your feet to stay cool on long runs. 

The tongue is integrated; helping it to stay in place. 

Ideal Run Type

The Nike Men’s Alphafly 2 Road Racing Shoes are best for racing the marathon distances. They can be used for shorter distances such as the half marathon. However, they provide a combination of comfort and propulsion that is very well matched to the demands of a marathon.

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
