Advice for Road Runners: The On Men’s Cloudeclipse Running Shoes feature the highest midsole stack in On’s performance running collection to date.
With a double layer of Cloudtec Phase cushioning, they offer a maximum cushioned underfoot experience.
Underfoot Feel
The On Cloudeclipse Running Shoes feature a double layer of Cloudtec Phase cushioning. This means you should feel a lot of cushioning and protection under your feet.
As a result of the unique Cloudtec Phase design, the transition from landing to take-off is likely to feel very smooth. In combination with the rocker geometry, it feels like you’re gliding.
Even though the midsole is thick, it feels stable. This is likely down to the Speedboard in the midfoot shank. Lots of outsole rubber also aids traction around corners.
Upper Fit
The On Cloudeclipse Running Shoes have an engineered mesh with a knitted tongue construction. This offers a soft and breathable feel, with a supportive fit.
In our experience, the Cloudeclipse offers an accommodating fit in the toe box and lots of ankle security.
As the upper is dope dyed, the colouration process uses 95% less water than traditional techniques.
Ideal Run Type
The On Men’s Cloudeclipse Running Shoes feel amazing for slower to steady paced runs. Particularly over longer distances. This is because the midsole takes so much impact out of landing and makes the miles feel easier.
In our opinion, these are one of the best options for daily miles. Especially if you want to keep your legs fresh for faster-paced sessions.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
