Advice for Trail Runners: Keep running in wet weather with the Nike Women’s Pegasus Trail 4 GORE-TEX Waterproof Trail Running Shoes.
Underfoot Feel
The midsole of the Peg Trail 4 GORE-TEX contains Nike React cushioning. This creates a protective yet responsive underfoot feel. This is a long way from a basic cushioning technology. While being responsive, it offers a noticeable amount of cushioning. Increasing the chances of comfort if you are running on roads or hard-packed trails.
The rubber pattern on the outsole produces grip that will cope with slightly muddy conditions. The advantage of the grip (or lugs) not being overly pronounced is that it helps with comfort on sections of road.
Upper Fit
An in-built gaiter at the collar of the shoe is soft and hardly noticeable. The best thing about the upper is the invisible fit GORE-TEX, which prevents water from making it’s way through the fabric. Unless you step into water which is above your ankle, these trail running shoes will be waterproof.
The general fit of the upper is very accommodating.
Ideal Run Type
The Nike Women’s Pegasus Trail 4 GORE-TEX Waterproof Trail Running Shoes are best suited for bad weather runs on light trails. They should be comfortable for a significant amount of road running. We just don’t recommend these as your main road running shoes.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
Technical Features
- The inspirational message by the heel will vary between “JUST DO IT” and “JUST RUN IT” depending on the shoe
- Pull loops at the heel and tongue
