Underfoot Feel

The Mizuno Wave Rider 28 Running Shoes feature an updated heel design. A new Mizuno Enerzy Nxt – nitrogen-infused foam – heel wedge offers amazing energy return and cushioning. This means you’ll enjoy softer landings.

Like the previous model, the top layer of foam is Mizuno Enerzy cushioning. This soft foam boasts great rebound qualities.

A lot of the propulsive experience stems from Mizuno’s signature Wave Plate technology. In addition to improving energy return, the Plate also enhances support. This is because the sides of the plate are raised.

It’s worth noting the Wave Plate has a heel cut out – which ensures soft landings.

Upper Fit

The Mizuno Wave Rider 28 Running Shoes’ upper is made with a jacquard air mesh. Flexible PU Print reinforcement adds structure to the upper and offers support for your feet. There’s also a sculpted tongue to improve comfort.

Sizing Advice

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
