Advice for Road Runners: If you’re looking for maximum cushioning, the Nike Women’s Invincible Run 3 in the Black/White-Anthracite-Baltic Blue colourway is one of our top suggestions.
Underfoot Feel
You won’t believe how cushioned and bouncy the Nike Women’s Invincible Run 3 is. An ultra thick ZoomX midsole feels like a trampoline under your feet. Expect ultra soft landings, followed by energetic take-offs.Â
While the Invincible Run is a neutral shoe, the wide base and sculpted cushioning adds structure. A rocker-shaped midsole aids forward momentum and lowers the stress placed on lower leg muscles.
Upper Fit
The Flyknit upper in the Nike Invincible Run 3 feels spacious and supportive at the same time. In our experience, it feels accommodating in the forefoot and secure around the midfoot area. Due to extra padding inside the heel collar, you may wish to use the last eyelet to improve ankle hold.
Ideal Run Type
If you want to run on consecutive days, or back up harder sessions with another run the next day, the Nike Invincible Run 3 is a great option. We know most will use the Invincible Run for easier paced runs and long distance base miles. However, the energetic ZoomX foam does perform at some brisker efforts.Â
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
