Advice for Road Runners: The Brooks Men’s Adrenaline GTS 23 in the Black/Hawaiian Ocean/Green colourway has been updated with DNA LOFT v2 cushioning.
Underfoot Feel
The cushioning in the Brooks Men’s Adrenaline GTS 23 should feel lighter and slightly more cushioned than the previous model. That’s because the midsole has changed from DNA LOFT to DNA LOFT v2. The more advanced foam will retain a better underfoot sensation throughout a run.
We know a lot of runners loved the Adrenaline GTS 22. The GuideRail support system in the latest edition is the same as the previous model. While you shouldn’t feel the extra support, this system should help guide your feet, knees and hips.
Upper Fit
The soft fabric upper in the Adrenaline GTS 23 feels comfortable and breathable. 3D Fit Print overlays reduces the amount of stitching, which prevents friction.
Ideal Run Type
The cushioning in the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 23 is soft and responsive. As a result, it feels great at a range of paces. However, we suggest running in them for slow to steady paced runs. The holistic style of support in the Adrenaline 23 should reduce knee and hip rotation. If you suffer from irritations in these areas, this style of support may benefit you.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
