Advice for Road Runners: The Asics Men’s Gel-Cumulus 25 has more cushioning than the popular Gel-Cumulus 24. Meaning it delivers more comfort and protection, to make your daily miles feel easier. 

Underfoot Feel

The midsole of the Gel-Cumulus 25 has been updated with FF BLAST PLUS cushioning and PureGEL Technology. PureGEL is positioned in the heel to create extra softness at landing. This works alongside the energetic FF BLAST PLUS midsole, that is 2 mm thicker than the Gel-Cumulus 24, to deliver the greatest level of cushioning to date. 

Upper Fit

An engineered jacquard mesh upper improves breathability and comfort. At least 75% of the main upper material is made with recycled content. In our experience, the Gel-Cumulus offers an accommodating fit in the forefoot, with a secure feeling around the ankle area. The Gel-Cumulus 25 is well suited to runners with a broad forefoot. 

Ideal Run Type

The Asics Men’s Gel-Cumulus 25 is a neutral running shoe. As highlighted in the technical details, it delivers a soft and protective underfoot feel. For this reason, we recommend running in the Gel-Cumulus on your slower to steady paced runs, and long distance miles. 

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
