Advice for Road Runners: The men’s adidas Solar Glide 5 in the Core Black/Solar Green/Beam Yellow colourway perfectly blends a supportive feel with the response of  BOOST cushioning for performance across a range of paces.

Underfoot Feel

The midsole is constructed mainly of BOOST cushioning for superb protection and energy return. Surrounding the BOOST foam is a firmer EVA foam which creates a more supportive feel by adding structure around the softer BOOST foam.

The shoe also features a Linear Energy Push system (LEP 2.0) which helps the foot transition smoothly from heel to toe and adds a springy and propulsive feel to toe-off. Highly durable Continental rubber has been added to the outsole to give excellent traction, even in wet conditions.

Upper Fit

The circular knit textile upper has been engineered to provide an accommodating fit and to ensure a secure hold around the foot and ankle. The heel counter has been designed to reduce any possibility of friction in the Achilles area.

Ideal Run Type

The adidas Solar Glide 5 is a great mileage workhorse, suitable for everyday training miles while offering fantastic cushioning, support and responsiveness.

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles. Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes). This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
