Advice for Road Runners: In our opinion, the adidas Unisex Adizero Adios Pro 3 running shoes are one of the best options for running personal bests in marathons. We also think the Wonder Blue/Core Black/Lucid Lemon looks very fast.
Underfoot Feel
The adidas Unisex Adizero Adios Pro 3 running shoes feature a thick layer of LIGHTSTRIKE PRO foam. It’s hard to put into words how springy this foam feels. As it delivers a soft and protective experience, along with excellent energy return, it feels amazing on longer distance runs. Particularly if you’re running hard.
Full-length carbon infused ENERGYRODS run the length of the midsole. These limit energy loss and improve forward momentum. Unlike a plate, the ENERGYRODS can move independently of one another. This offers a smooth and forgiving underfoot sensation.
The Adizero Adios Pro 3 feels surprisingly stable underfoot. Part of this may be down to the grippy Continental rubber outsole. As a result, you can take corners at pace and with confidence.
Upper Fit
As the adidas Adizero Adios Pro 3 running shoes are for faster paced runs, the upper is extremely lightweight. Everything from the mesh, tongue and heel collar are stripped back to feel breathable and fast. However, supportive overlays and internal heel pods hold your feet in place and keep you contained.
If you have non-adidas running shoes, we recommend buying the Adios Pro 3.0 in a half size bigger than your normal running shoes. That’s because the US to UK adidas sizing conversion is only half a size different.
Ideal Run Type
The adidas Unisex Adizero Adios Pro 3 running shoes are ready for your personal best effort in your next race. Whether that’s a 10K, half marathon or marathon. That’s because the cushioning is incredibly versatile and performs over a wide range of paces and distances.
We recommend keeping the Adizero Adios Pro 3.0 for race day. Although, it’s a good idea to break them in on some key training sessions.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
