Advice for Road Runners: Runners favourite the Adizero Boston, has been completely revamped for its 10th edition to bring race day performance to your training runs. The reimagining of this racing classic, gives runners ultimate performance for tempo and interval training.
Using the most innovative technology from adidas, the Boston 10 is an incredibly energy returning shoe, designed for quick transitions and propulsive toe-offs. The midsole has two foam layers that encase the carbon Energy Rods placed in the forefoot, for a snappy yet smooth feel. The upper foam is made with LIGHTSTRIKE PRO. This Pebax/Nylon based superfoam is very soft and highly energy returning. Great for helping tired legs. Underneath is the durable LIGHTSTRIKE layer which provides a firmer base to the midsole. Combined these create a soft and protective, yet bouncy ride.
The Energy Rods within the midsole create the snappy toe-off for faster paced running. Placed in the forefoot, they mirror the foot’s anatomy, aligning with the metatarsal heads and extending under the big toe. Increasing the bending stiffness here produces an ultra smooth forward transition.
The upper is made with a lightweight mono-mesh, with an internal sock construction for comfort. There’s also now padding around the ankle for more protection at the achilles. The outsole is highly durable, with a Continental rubber grip for great traction in any weather.
For performance orientated runners, the Adizero Boston 10 is one of the best shoes available for fast paced training. Amazing in tempo and interval sessions, it feels snappy underfoot while still providing a high level of cushioning for longer runs.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles. Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes). This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
