Advice for Road Runners: The women’s adidas Adizero Boston 11 in the eye-catching Beam Pink/Footwear White/Beam Green colourway uses innovative technologies to offer a wonderful balance between performance and protection.

Underfoot Feel

The protective midsole construction incorporates a combination of two foams and glass-infused rods. LIGHTSTRIKE PRO foam sits directly beneath the foot and creates a comfortable, bouncy feel while sitting on top of a firmer layer of LIGHTSTRIKE foam which adds some stability to the midsole. Glass-infused ENERGY RODS run through the midsole, increasing stiffness but still allowing for a smooth feel and transition from initial footstrike to toe-off. The rods are designed to be more pliable than a full plate to aid this smooth transition but still offer a snappy, super-responsive feel at toe-off. Continental rubber forms the outsole and, as ever, can be relied upon for superb levels of traction.

Upper Fit

The shoe is much lighter than before with weight savings being made through the introduction of a new lighter mesh design in the upper.

Ideal Run Type

The adidas Adizero Boston 11 is a true all-rounder, equally suited to running at slower paces and to picking up the pace on faster runs, sessions or races. The blend of excellent underfoot protection from the highly-stacked midsole and a snappy, responsive feel make this shoe a great option for many runners. 

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles. Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes). This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
