Advice for Road Runners: More is not always better. The adidas Women’s Takumi Sen 10 Running Shoes are built for all-out speed.

Underfoot Feel

The adidas Takumi Sen 10 Running Shoes feature two layers of LIGHTSTRIKE PRO foam, combined with the ENERGYRODS 2.0 system. 

Whilst there’s a substantial amount of adidas’ most resilient foam, the stack is lower in comparison to the popular Adizero Adios Pro 3 Running Shoes. This should result in a faster and more responsive feel – perfect for shorter distance events. 

The biggest change in the Takumi Sen 10 versus the previous version is the updated ENERGYRODS system. Unlike before, it now mirrors the Adios Pro 3 design and is fully-connected. This leads to more energy returning and even snappier transitions.

A combination of Continental™ rubber and light textile rubber promotes extra grip in both wet and dry conditions.

Upper Fit

A sleek recycled mesh upper should feel very breathable. Specific areas of support help improve lockdown. 

The adidas Takumi Sen 10 Running Shoes also feature the Adizero signature slinglaunch heel construction – which should result in a secure fit.

Ideal Run Type

The adidas Women’s Takumi Sen 10 are likely to feel very light and responsive. As a result, we recommend using them for shorter distance races, such as 5K and 10K. Although, given then amount of protection on offer, some runners will find these very comfortable for half marathons too.

As the midsole can help keep your legs feeling fresher for longer, you may find a benefit from using these in some key weekly workouts.

Sizing Advice 

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
