Advice for Road Runners: The Altra Women’s Via Olympus 2 Road Running Shoes provide soft, plush cushioning, and an upper with a natural fit.
Underfoot Experience
A softer midsole provides a significant amount of cushioning for your feet, especially when it is combined with a plush Ortholite X55 footbed. By softer, we mean in comparison to the midsole foam used in the original Via Olympus. Altra’s EGO™ Max foam is designed to be light and protective, but still offer some spring.
The rocker shaped geometry should help you to move forward with greater ease and efficiency.
Upper Fit
The Via Olympus 2’s upper features Altra’s original Footshape™ Fit. This should allow your toes ample room to splay, and limit the chance of excess pressure on the sides of your feet.
The engineered mesh provides breathability. The updated heel collar should provide a secure and comfortable fit. Again, when we say ‘updated’, we mean in comparison to the first edition of the Via Olympus.
Ideal Run Type
The Altra Women’s Via Olympus 2 Road Running Shoes are best suited to long, steady-paced training runs on the road. These are neutral running shoes. The design may make them particularly well-suited to runs when you are keen to take pressure off your feet and legs.
