Advice for Road Runners: The ASICS GT-2000 10 has undergone some significant updates. Offering moderate stability and a plush and comfortable feel in a shoe that is highly versatile, the GT-2000 10 can be used for a wide range of distances and paces. This latest model, here in the Electric Blue/White colourway, has undergone upper and midsole changes, all designed to improve fit and comfort.

The new engineered knit upper provides a supportive and comfortable fit, removing distractions and allowing you to focus on the road ahead.

Both the heel and forefoot feature GEL cushioning which offers holistic support through slowing down foot and lower leg rotation. Gender specific 3D SPACE CONSTRUCTION in the heel improves compression on initial strike and enhances stability. The new one piece sole unit improves ground contact and smooths the transition from heel to toe. A combination of FLYTEFOAM and FLYTEFOAM PROPEL cushioning is used through the midsole, providing great shock absorption and protection on heel strike and a responsive, quicker feel on toe-off. Additional stability is delivered through the LITETRUSS system which incorporates denser foam on the medial side of the shoe and provides a smoother feel than the previous support system which it replaces.

The outsole features AHAR+ rubber in areas that are prone to the highest levels of abrasion.

The GT-2000 10 is a well cushioned stability shoe that will offer protection for runners with mild to moderate instability, alongside good energy return when you pick up the pace. 

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles. Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes). This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
