Underfoot Feel

The ASICS GT-2000 12 uses a 3D GUIDANCE SYSTEM to offer more support for your feet and legs. To explain further, wide base nets make the midsole inherently stable. There’s also an increased heel bevel and forefoot flare, that smooths out transitions from landing to take-off.

As there are no denser foams in the 3D GUIDANCE SYSTEM, the midsole should feel soft underfoot. Additionally, ultra cushioned PureGEL sits in the heel area of the midsole. The rest of the midsole features FF BLAST PLUS foam: a highly cushioned material. 

Upper Fit

The ASICS GT-2000 12 running shoes upper has a jacquard mesh. This type of mesh is renowned for offering lots of breathability. 

The distinctive ‘lean back’ design at the heel counter helps reduce irritation around the back of the ankle. At least 50% of the primary upper consists of recycled materials.

Ideal Run Type

As the midsole is soft and protective, we suggest using the ASICS Men’s GT-2000 12 Stability Running Shoes for slower to steady paced runs. This also means they should perform over a range of distances. Whether that’s shorter distances, or long slow miles. 

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
