The ASICS Gel-Kayano 30 Running Shoes upper is made with an engineered stretch knit fabric. As a result, it should feel very breathable and supportive. The knit construction also extends to the ankle collar for a secure fit. 

Ideal Run Type

As is the case with any max-cushioned model, the ASICS Women’s Gel-Kayano 30 Running Shoes are great options for long distance runs. This is simply down to the fact that high levels of underfoot cushioning can significantly reduce the load on your working muscles. 

However, these should also work perfectly for shorter distance runs too. Especially if you’re aim is to make the effort feel as comfortable as possible.

Sizing Advice

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
