Advice for Road Runners: The ASICS Women’s Gel-Kayano 30 stability running shoes have proven to be one of the most popular editions of this icon. Now available in the French Blue/Denim Blue colourway, these ultra cushioned and supportive running shoes are ready for a lot of miles.
Underfoot Feel
The ASICS Gel-Kayano 30 features a 4D GUIDANCE SYSTEM. To explain further, the following elements offer enhanced support:
- Wide base-nets at the heel, midfoot, and forefoot make the midsole inherently stable.
- Bevelled heel design smooths out the transition from heel to mid-stance.
- Specific midsole shaping significantly slows down speed of pronation.
- An energetic medial foam in the medial part of the midfoot resupinates your foot – so it returns to a neutral position for the next foot strike.
The unique support system means the Gel-Kayano 30 should feel very cushioned underfoot. It’s likely you’ll experience a lot of comfort from the midsole. PureGEL in the heel also ensures there’s a lot impact protection.
Upper Fit
The ASICS Gel-Kayano 30 upper features an engineered stretch knit upper. As a result, your feet should feel support where it’s needed. It’s also exceptionally breathable. For clarity, this knit construction also extends to the ankle collar.
If you’re interested, the mesh upper is made from 100% recycled polyester.
Ideal Run Type
If you’re looking for maximum cushioned stability running shoes to make the miles feel easier, we recommend the ASICS Women’s Gel-Kayano 30. That’s because the midsole offers very high levels of cushioning and protection. As a by-product of the cushioning, we expect you’ll find them very comfortable.
As the 4D GUIDANCE SYSTEM adapts to your body’s shift in posture when you get tired, they’re ideal for long distances. Lots of runners find their form worsens over the course of a run. Particularly on tough marathon training runs.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain of discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoes will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
