Advice for Trail Runners: The Hoka Women’s Speedgoat 5 Trail Running Shoes in the Deep Lake/Ceramic colourway are the latest model within the award-winning Speedgoat family. Named after HOKA athlete Karl ‘Speedgoat’ Meltzer, this edition of the Speedgoat is lighter than ever before.

Underfoot Feel

The deep CMEVA midsole is highly cushioned and super-protective. In addition, an Active Foot Frame surrounds the foot and offers a stable, supportive platform. The thickness of the midsole doesn’t compromise the flexibility of the shoe and how it adapts on rough ground.

A highly durable Vibram® MegaGrip with Traction Lug outsole provides exceptional grip on wet ground. Stepped 5mm traction lugs increase the surface contact area on slippy rocks and offer a wonderfully secure feel.

Hoka’s Meta Rocker design also acts to reduce the stress loads placed on the lower leg.

Upper Fit 

The double-layered jacquard sandwich mesh upper is lightweight and also has a soft feel for added comfort. An elasticated section across the top of the toe box flexes and adjusts as you run. This accommodates different foot shapes and allows for foot expansion during longer runs.

The Hoka Women’s Speedgoat 5 Trail Running Shoes are highly cushioned trail running shoes. They’re ideal for covering long distances on varied, technical terrain. The durable construction and excellent levels of grip also make these shoes highly versatile and suitable for runs where underfoot conditions are unpredictable. 

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
