Advice for Trail Runners: The Inov-8 Men’s Trailfly™ G 270 V2 Running Shoes, here in the Blue/Nectar colourway, offer fantastic cushioning and traction for trail and ultra runners. 

Underfoot Feel

The midsole has been updated with POWERFLOW MAX plush cushioning that retains its thickness for twice as long. It also provides 20% more energy return than the previous foam. This allows runners to perform at their peak for longer. Increased stack height from the previous model also enhances the underfoot feel.

The outsole design utilises Graphene to give the toughest grip for ultimate traction on trails. The Graphene-Grip™ rubber outsole features 4mm lugs with an anti-clog pattern. Water dispersion channels on the lugs improve traction on flat wet rock and also allow the shoe to drain quickly. META-FLEX™ grooves in the forefoot outsole help the shoe to flex with your feet and react to uneven terrain.

Upper Fit

The shoe features a wider toe box for improved fit. The supportive upper is made from an adaptive mesh that allows the feet to swell during long runs. It also has a soft inner lining and superior breathability. In addition, the new tongue design disperses pressure evenly across the top of the foot for improved comfort.

Ideal Run Type

Inov-8 Men’s Trailfly™ G 270 V2 Running Shoes are ideal for mixed terrain including rocky, hard packed trails and also some road running. They are great for ultrarunners who are looking for cushioning and durability on long distance trails. Designed to offer the toughest grip without the rigidity, they provide runners with outstanding comfort and protection on the trails.

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
