Advice for Trail Runners: The Trailfly G 270 from Inov-8, here in the Pine/Mint colourway, offers the best in cushioning and traction for trail and ultra runners. The midsole has been updated with POWERFLOW MAX plush cushioning that retains its thickness for twice as long while providing 20% more energy return than the previous model. This allows runners to perform at their peak for longer. Increased stack height from the previous model enhances the underfoot feel as well as the wider toe box and improved fit. The upper is made from a supportive yet adaptive mesh that allows for swelling of the feet over long runs, with a soft inner lining and superior breathability. The new tongue design disperses pressure evenly across the top of the foot for improved comfort.

The outsole design utilises graphene to give the toughest grip for ultimate traction on trails. The Graphene-Grip™ rubber outsole features 4mm lugs with an anti-clog pattern. Water dispersion channels on the lugs improve traction on flat wet rock and allow the shoe to drain quickly. Ideal for mixed terrain including rocky, hard packed trails and some road running, this grip will have you covered over ultra distances. META-FLEX™ grooves in the forefoot outsole help the shoe to flex with your feet and react to uneven terrain.

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles. Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes). This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
