Advice for Trail Runners: The Inov-8 X-Talon Ultra 260 v2 in the Black/Gold colourway is a fantastic option when you’re looking to run long distances over soft and muddy terrain.

With aggressive grip offered by the lug pattern on the Dual-C sticky rubber outsole, you can run confidently in the heaviest underfoot conditions. The POWERFLOW midsole cushions and protects the foot on uneven ground and provides enhanced shock absorption and energy return, while your running efficiency is aided by the mild stiffness of a DFB shank in the midfoot. A revised ballistic nylon upper with a DWR (durable water repellent) treatment offers great breathability, with added protection from stones and trail debris provided by a hard-wearing rand around the front of the shoe. META-FLEX™ grooves in the forefoot outsole help the shoe to flex with your feet and react to uneven terrain.

The X-Talon Ultra 260 v2 is ideal for covering long distances over the roughest terrain where high levels of grip and hard-wearing durability are essential!

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles. Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes). This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
