Underfoot Feet

Like all INOV8 models, the TrailFly cushioning should offer great ground-feel – meaning you can adapt to uneven surfaces. However, the relatively thick layer of POWERFLOW PRO foam should also result in extra comfort on hard-packed terrain. 

Underfoot comfort is further enhanced by a soft and energy returning BOOMERANG Footbed. A flexible rock plate prevents sharp objects penetrating the cushioning.

The TRAILFLY’s outsole has the following features/benefits:

• 4 mm GRAPHENE-GRIP studs grip on rocky and hard-packed terrain.
• Stud placement/orientation helps you push-off faster and break quicker.
• Sheds mud quickly to maintain grip. 
• Graphene-enhanced rubber offers better grip on wet rock in comparison to previous versions.

Upper Fit

The INOV8 Men’s TrailFly features a single piece of air-mesh material, which should result in a highly breathable and comfortable fit. 

For more support, thick MET-CRADLE strips connect the midfoot to the heel. This should translate into a locked-in sensation when you tighten the laces. However, the toe box area should feel more spacious and roomy.

Ideal Run Type

The INOV8 Men’s TrailFly Trail Running Shoes are best for slower to steady paced runs on hard-packed trails. As a result of the cushioning on offer, these are viable options for longer distance events – such as ultras. 

It’s worth noting that whilst the grip should perform relatively well in wet conditions, you’ll probably enjoy running in these the most when it’s drier underfoot.

Sizing Advice

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
