Hoka | Men’s Mach 4 Running Shoes – Blue Glass

Advice for Road Runners: The Mach 4 in the Blue Glass/Evening Primrose colourway has a PROFLY™ midsole that gives a cushioned landing and a propulsive toe-off. Inspired by Hoka’s carbon-plated shoes but without a plate, it’s designed for logging the training miles with a soft yet energetic bounce. A cushioned foam sits on top of a rubberized foam that is positioned directly underneath. This provides a plush and forgiving underfoot feeling yet amazing energy return at faster paces.

The extended crash pad and early stage Meta Rocker provides a really smooth underfoot feel for a shoe that is highly responsive. The upper is made using heat pressed TPU embroidered yarns. This improves the fit of the shoe and is a more environmentally friendly way of producing the upper. It’s a  less wasteful production process as there are less pieces added on and less excess material. In common with other Hoka models, the heel tab is tapered away to reduce friction on the Achilles tendon.

The Mach 4 is designed for runners who are performance orientated and want a well cushioned, yet highly responsive shoe that can cope with a wide range of paces in training.

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles. Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes). This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
