Saucony Endorphin Pro 3 Explained
Advice for Road Runners: The men’s Saucony Endorphin Pro 3 in the Prospect Quartz colourway has had some key updates from the previous version and now has more of Saucony’s PeBa-based PWRRUN PB midsole superfoam than before. A full-length carbon fibre plate works with the foam for unrivalled energy return and delivers Saucony’s fastest shoe!
Underfoot Feel
This shoe is more cushioned than before with an additional 4mm of midsole foam beneath the foot from the previous version and conforms to all World Athletics road racing guidelines. The S-curved carbon fibre plate adds structure to the foam and improves the rolling effect of the midsole. This effect is Saucony’s SpeedRoll technology, which features an exaggerated rocker combined with a stiff forefoot to propel you forward and help you push the pace.
The geometry of the shoe guides the foot through the gait cycle, helping push the heels up and hips forward as you toe off. Creating this forward momentum allows you to pick up speed and helps you run faster for longer! This holistic style of support will also help runners with stability issues, encouraging the foot to move from heel to toe quicker and not roll inwards. To reduce weight, the thickness of the highly-durable outsole rubber has been reduced by 2mm.
Upper Fit
A super-lightweight engineered mesh creates an almost minimalist feel to the upper and is designed for ultimate breathability, but also offers support exactly where it’s needed.
Ideal Run Type
The Saucony Endorphin Pro 3 is Saucony’s fastest shoe and is designed for the quickest training and racing across distances from 5k up to marathon. It’s all about speed in this shoe!
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles. Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes). This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
