Advice for Road Runners: The highly versatile Mizuno Wave Rider 26 in the Super Sonic/Ice Water/Cherry Tomato colourway is a perfect choice for the runner looking to mix up their paces, with great cushioning and a responsive feel. 

Underfoot Feel

The shoe features a full midsole of Mizuno’s premium Enerzy foam which is now 2mm thicker than before for a plusher, softer feel. This innovative foam has a bouncy, responsive feel and is also extremely durable.

The Wave Plate has a parallel shape within the midsole and acts to uniformly disperse shock throughout the sole unit, providing stability to the soft foam. The Wave Plate also gives a propulsive kick underfoot. Mizuno’s X10 carbon rubber outsole is highly durable and gives added traction on heel strike.

Upper Fit

The AIRmesh upper uses up to 90% recycled materials in its construction and is incredibly breathable and comfortable. In common with other Mizuno models, the Wave Rider 26 has a secure ankle fit for a supportive feel.

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles. Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes). This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
