Advice for Road Runners: The Mizuno Men’s Wave Skyrise 4 are one of the softest Mizuno running shoes we stock at Run4It. This makes them a great choice for daily miles and easier efforts.
Underfoot Feel
The Mizuno Wave Skyrise 4 cushioning should feel soft and forgiving underfoot. That’s because the midsole features a combination of premium Mizuno technologies. Whilst the majority of the midsole is Mizuno Enerzy foam, there’s a block of Mizuno Enerzy Core cushioning in the heel and forefoot. This ultra energy returning material feels incredible.
As there’s no plate in the Wave Skyrise 4 running shoes, they’re softer than other Mizuno running shoes. However, this means an alternative technology is required to deliver stability. The distinct Wave shaped cushioning disperses forces and feels supportive.
Upper Fit
The Mizuno Wave Skyrise 4 features a smooth stretch woven upper. As a result, the upper should feel soft and supportive.
Ideal Run Type
We suggest using the Mizuno Men’s Wave Skyrise 4 neutral running shoes for your easier paced runs. The qualities that make these a great choice for slower runs also make them ideal for longer distances. Even though the midsole returns a lot of energy, they’re unlikely to perform at faster efforts.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
