Advice for Road Runners: The Nike Men’s Invincible 3 Road Running Shoes are highly cushioned, neutral running shoes. If you want your feet and legs to feel fresh the day after a run, the Nike Invincible 3 is one of the best options in our range.
Underfoot Feel
A notable midsole height combined with a substantial amount of Nike ZoomX foam provides a very soft and protective underfoot feel. The midsole is shaped like a rocker, which helps to build and maintain forward momentum. It’s worth highlighting that while ZoomX foam feels soft – it does return a lot of energy too.
The base of the midsole and outsole is broad at the heel and the forefoot. This helps to create a stable platform to run on.
Upper Fit
From experience of running in the Invincible 3 and from listening to comments about the fit of the upper, we would not be surprised if you found the upper to have a lot of room. This should be a good thing if you are running a long way as you don’t want your feet to be compressed. Our advice is to not lace the Invincible 3 too tightly. The Flyknit upper is very strong, so if you lace the upper too tightly – it’s unlikely to be comfortable.
The advantage of the Invincible 3 is that you should be able to more or less forget you’re wearing them once you’ve settled into your run. Lace the Invincible up so they’re secure on your feet, but not too tight.
Ideal Run Type
The Nike Men’s Invincible 3 Road Running Shoes are neutral running shoes with a lot of cushioning. If you are running at easy to steady paces on back to back days and/or completing easy paced recovery runs, then the Invincible 3 should help to take pressure off your feet and legs.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
