Advice for Trail Runners: The Nike Men’s Pegasus Trail 4 Running Shoes will take you from the road to the trail. A great balance of cushioning and grip for runs on mixed terrain.
Underfoot Feel
React foam in the midsole creates a cushioned feel, but still delivers some responsiveness to help you maintain your pace. The cushioning in the Pegasus Trail 4 will feel substantial.
The grip on the outsole offers more traction on trails than a road shoe will. However, it is designed so that it still offers a smooth running experience on the road.
Upper Fit
Flywire technology is integrated with the midfoot band. We recommend paying a lot of attention to how you lace these trail running shoes, as it is possible to customise the fit to a significant extent.
Ideal Run Type
The Nike Men’s Pegasus Trail 4 Running Shoes are really well matched to runs that may start and end with road running, but involve large sections of trail during the main part of your run. They are not designed for deep mud or very extreme terrain. Forest tracks, undulating paths over grass, and well-worn paths and tracks are the ideal terrain for these shoes.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
