Underfoot Feel

The midsole of the Zoom Fly 5 contains ZoomX foam. This is a performance foam is lightweight and returns a lot of energy. However, the ZoomX foam is housed in a carrier foam for durability reasons. This combination of ZoomX foam and a carrier foam is one of the reasons why the Zoom Fly are such great training shoes. 

A full-length articulated carbon fibre plate is also present in the midsole. The plate adds stiffness to the shoes and results in a propulsive sensation. In short, it helps you to move forward with greater levels of efficiency.

The Zoom Fly 5 are neutral running shoes. However, the outsole and midsole is broad at the heel and the forefoot. This means that they provide a stable platform to land and push off from.

Upper Fit

A supportive lacing and midfoot wrap provides support for your feet where it is most needed. The lightweight mesh on the upper results in very good levels of breathability.

Ideal Run Type

The Nike Men’s Zoom Fly 5 Premium Road Running Shoes are best for faster training sessions. However, as there’s a significant amount of cushioning and durability, some runners may also like to use them at slower paces.
