Underfoot Feel

A thick layer of ZoomX cushioning offers lots of protection and energy return. The addition of a full-length carbon Flyplate means the Nike Ultrafly should feel exceptionally propulsive underfoot. 

Given the uneven nature of off-road terrain, specific midsole shaping helps improve underfoot stability. With a flat bottom and minimised lateral rocker, you should feel more confident on technical terrain. 

With long distance racing in mind, a heel-to-rocker is likely to make the miles feel more comfortable. That’s because this should smooth out the transition from landing to take-off.

As these are designed for speed, Nike opted for Vibram Litebase rubber. The renowned rubber compound offers amazing grip on wet and dry terrain in a lightweight construction. With chevrons that point in opposing directions, the outsole lugs should enhance traction on uphill and downhill sections.

Upper Fit

The Nike Utrafly Trail Running Shoes feature a Vaporweave upper. As a result, they should feel light, breathable, and supportive. A supportive midfoot band also offers more support on uneven terrain.

We recommend using the Nike Women’s Ultrafly Trail Running Shoes for racing. That’s because it’s likely you’ll get the most out of them when you’re trying to perform at your best. Additionally, these should perform over a range of distances. Including long distance races, such as ultras. 

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
