Advice for Road Runners: Aiming for a faster 10K or marathon time? The Nike Women’s Vaporfly 3 in the White/DK Smoke Grey-Particle Grey is ready for the start line.
Underfoot Feel
The Nike Women’s Vaporfly 3 feels ultra light, incredibly cushioned and highly propulsive. That’s because it features Nike’s most energy returning midsole material and a full-length carbon fibre plate. ZoomX cushioning is also one of the lightest midsole materials.
If you’re wondering why the midsole sticks out at the back, this improves underfoot stability. A thin rubber outsole keeps the weight down, while also protecting the soft ZoomX midsole.
Upper Fit
The Flyknit upper of the Nike Vaporfly 3 makes you feel fast because it’s so breathable. However, light padding on the tongue and extra cushioning inside the heel ensures this stands up to the test of a marathon.
Ideal Run Type
The Nike Vaporfly 3 should help you run faster. It’s very likely that the advanced midsole design will improve your running economy and keep your legs fresher throughout a race. We recommend using the Vaporfly for some key training sessions and then for race day. This should ensure you get the maximum benefit.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
Technical Features
- Wider toe area for roomier fit
- Offset heel seam reduces friction in heel area
