Advice for Trail Runners: The Nike Women’s Zegama Trail Running Shoes in the Black/White colourway are designed to offer comfort on tough trail runs.
Underfoot Feel
Nike’s decision to include ZoomX foam in the midsole means that these trail running shoes will feel soft and responsive. ZoomX foam works to return energy, which can be very useful on long trail runs. A notable stack height means that there is a significant amount of cushioning underneath your feet.
Wide spacing between the deep lugs will help with grip on uneven terrain.
Upper Fit
Trail running shoes are often subject to a lot of pressure from forces that are internal and external to the uppers. The uppers on the Zegama feature engineered mesh. Engineered mesh has better strength and flexibility than standard mesh.
The ankle gaiter works to limit the amount of debris that can make it inside the shoe. The material for the ankle gaiter is soft and should not be overly noticeable.
Overlays have been added to the toe box for additional durability.
Ideal Run Type
Long trail runs over challenging terrain are what the Nike Women’s Zegama Trail Running Shoes were designed for.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
