The breathable fabric will offer you a lot of protection from the rain and the wind.

You might want to go on a road run in heavy rain, or you may have a trail run planned and expect the weather to be wet and windy. The jacket is designed to protect you from the elements. 

Waterproof running jackets can be less breathable than water-repellent running jackets. However, if your upper body has the protection of a waterproof running jacket, there should be less chance of rain and wind making you cold.

On the front of the jacket, a zipped pocket should easily be large enough for a pair of running gloves. 

Finally, the hood is adjustable – allowing you to adjust the fit.
