Underfoot Feel

The shoe features a high rebound midsole made from EnergyCell™+ which provides superb cushioning and durability. Widely-spaced lugs on the Mud Contagrip® Outsole offer fantastic grip on both uphills and downhills. The new rubber compound also enhances traction in wet conditions.

Upper Fit

The SensiFit™ upper now accommodates a broader range of foot shapes. It is more flexible and also cradles the foot to ensure a secure, snug and precise fit. The upper incorporates a Gore-Tex membrane and also uses a tight mesh and abrasion-resistant ripstop fabric. The upper effectively protects against water and debris ingress.

The Quicklace™ lacing system provides a secure fit and also ensures the shoe can be put on and removed quickly.

Ideal Run Type

The Salomon Men’s Speedcross 6 GTX Running Shoes are fully waterproof, highly protective, cushioned and grippy shoes, ideal for the toughest terrain and conditions. These are fantastic shoes for wet, muddy conditions.  

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
