With revised midsole foam these shoes deliver more protection than ever together with a responsive, agile feel on the trails.

Underfoot Feel

The updated Energy Foam midsole is softer than the previous foam but remains highly durable. The foam is also excellent for protecting joints and muscles without compromising the responsive feel it delivers on firmer surfaces. Extra protection is also provided by a layer of ProFeel Film within the midsole.

The All Terrain Contagrip® Outsole ensures grip levels are high in both wet and dry conditions and across varied terrain.

Upper Fit

The SensiFit™ upper is lightweight and accommodates a variety of foot shapes. It’s constructed using a highly flexible and durable 3D mesh and cradles the foot for a secure, snug and precise fit. It also incorporates a Gore-Tex membrane, designed to prevent water from entering through the upper of the shoe. Salomon’s renowned Quicklace™ lacing system ensures the shoe can be put on and taken off quickly.

Ideal Run Type

The Salomon Women’s Sense Ride 5 GTX Running Shoes are fully waterproof and are great shoes for many different uses. The underfoot protection and cushioning make these ideal for use on hard-packed terrain, even for some road use. But they also deliver durable and assured grip on rougher terrain.

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
