Underfoot Feel

Running in muddy conditions is always challenging. Fortunately, the Salomon Speedcross 6 GORE-TEX features deep 5 mm lugs that dig into soft ground. As the lugs have lots of space between them, mud sheds off the outsole. The chevron shaped lugs also grip exceptionally well on steep terrain. 

If you’re running longer distances or on hard-packed ground, you should feel protected by the EnergyCell+ midsole. That’s because the material feels cushioned, supportive and well padded underfoot.

The Salomon Speedcross 6 GORE-TEX upper is fully-waterproof. This means these trail running shoes keep your feet dry on wet trail runs. The extra protection is also beneficial in cold weather. 

As the upper features Salomon’s SensiFit construction, the Speedcross 6 should feel supportive. Particularly around the midfoot area. With an abrasion-resistant ripstop fabric and durable toe-bumper, the Speedcross 6 upper should deliver great durability. 

Ideal Run Type

We understand some runners don’t mind getting wet feet on the trails. However, if you’re the type of runner who likes to finish a run with dry feet, we recommend the Salomon Women’s Speedcross 6 GORE-TEX. 

Given the aggressive outsole pattern on the Salomon Speecross 6, they’re perfect for challenging terrain. They’re also a great choice for long distance off-road adventures. That’s because the thick midsole should feel really protective and take the stress off your feet and legs.

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
