Advice for Road Runners: We understand that, for running shoes, white colourways can be controversial at times. However, when it comes the Saucony Men’s Endorphin Speed 3 road running shoes, it looks amazing. These shoes look as fast as they feel.
Underfoot Feel
The Endorphin Speed 3 midsole features Saucony’s superfoam cushioning – PWRRUN PB. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that this feels incredibly bouncy underfoot.
Rather than a carbon fibre plate, they have a nylon plate. This is because nylon feels more flexible and forgiving. Making the Endorphin Speed 3 feel very propulsive, but more appropriate for weekly training sessions. In a similar vein, a ‘winged’ plate design promotes more stability and support for strenuous sessions on potentially tired legs.
Saucony’s signature SPEEDROLL technology aids forward movement, saving you energy.
Upper Fit
The Endorphin Men’s Speed 3 upper features Saucony’s FORMFIT technology. In summary, this design improves the feeling of containment and support. As these are for faster paced running, specific attention has been paid to ensuring the fabric feels light and breathable.
Ideal Run Type
As carbon fibre plated running shoes deliver the biggest improvements in running economy, the Endorphin Speed 3 isn’t our first choice for racing. Instead, we suggest using them for weekly sessions when you’re trying to run faster. It’s very likely these will last longer than their all-out race day counterparts too. Further emphasising the notion that these are perfect for training.
However, the Saucony Endorphin Speed 3 running shoes are still a great option for racing. Particularly for runners who train in stability running shoes, as the ‘winged’ plate construction provides more stability than many carbon plated options.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
