Advice for Road Runners: The Saucony Men’s Tempus stability running shoes feature Saucony’s superfoam PWRRUN PB cushioning. This delivers exceptional levels of energy return.
Underfoot Feel
The PWRRUN PB cushioning in the Saucony Tempus feels incredibly cushioned and energetic – a bit like a trampoline.
As superfoams are inherently unstable, they normally feature some sort of plated structure. However in the this case, the superfoam is wrapped in a PWRRUN Frame. To explain further, the firmer support frame adds stability and helps keep your feet, ankles and knees in alignment.
The contoured shape and raised side walls deliver a holistic style of support.
Upper Fit
As you’d expect from stability running shoes, the upper offers lots of support. Saucony’s FORMFIT technology means that the Tempus secures your feet at all the key points of contact.
Ideal Run Type
There’s no doubt the Saucony Men’s Tempus are very versatile. By versatile, we mean they should perform over a wide range of paces. If you’re looking for maximum energy return for slower to steady paced runs, we would recommend these.
While we would normally recommend plated running shoes for faster runs, these don’t suit everyone. For example, runners who do the bulk of their training in stability running shoes might not find some carbon plated shoes supportive enough. In this case, the Saucony Tempus would be a great alternative.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
