Advice for Road Runners: The Saucony Women’s Endorphin Speed 4 Running are a great option for faster training sessions. The Endorphin Speed 4 have a number of significant updates to improve their performance at faster speeds.
Underfoot Feel
The midsole consists of Saucony’s highly popular PWRRUN PB foam. This material is lightweight and provides exceptional energy return.
It is worth noting – or remembering – that the Endorphin Speed has a nylon plate; not a carbon fibre plate. The nylon plate can feel more forgiving underfoot. However, it is now a fluted nylon plate. Vertical reinforcement to the plate has resulted in additional torsional rigidity, while maintaining flexibility in the forefoot.
A new Super Responsive Sockliner also helps to propel you through your faster runs.
The outsole has rubber in the highest wear areas – where traction is most important. As the entire outsole is not covered in rubber, it helps to keep these Saucony running shoes feeling light on your feet.
Upper Fit
An improved upper design features an integrated tongue. This is a helpful feature when you are running at faster speeds.
The zonal engineered mesh ensures breathability where it is most needed.
Ideal Run Type
The Saucony Women’s Endorphin Speed 4 Running Shoes are best for faster training sessions on the road. That’s because they should feel cushioned and propulsive, but more forgiving than carbon fibre plated running shoes.
The Endorphin Speed 4 can be used for racing too. However, they are best at bridging the gap between core mileage shoes and out and out racing shoes.

Sizing Advice
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
