Advice for Road Runners: The U-Tech Aion in the Black/Dark Shadow Grey/Peacock Blue colourway offers the highest level of cushioning and protection in the True Motion range.
In common with other True Motion shoes, the Aion features a U-Tech structure which is designed to centre forces from the ground through the ankle and knee joints. This structure helps to ensure that the foot lands securely and reduces the rate of inward rotation of the knee and lower leg, in turn decreasing the risk of pain in the knee, the most common location of running-related injury. The horseshoe-shaped U-Tech structure also provides a highly propulsive effect which adds a springy feel to your run with enhanced levels of cushioning and protection.
The shoe features a full-length U-Tech foam midsole which provides a soft, plush feel with great energy return. The MotionBridge structure in this model helps to transfer energy through your gait cycle and ensures a smooth and responsive transition from heel to toe. In the Aion, this MotionBridge structure also extends around the heel of the shoe for enhanced security and support.
The outsole incorporates rotated flex grooves in the forefoot which enhance comfort at toe-off. The high performance carbon rubber outsole offers excellent traction and durability.
The premium double-layered jacquard mesh upper is lightweight and highly breathable and offers a secure, supportive fit. Sustainable materials are used in the construction of the upper.
The U-Tech Aion offers a luxurious, premium feel and is great for treating your feet to a soft, cosseted experience on easier or steady-paced runs.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles. Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes). This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
