Advice for Road and Trail Runners: Don’t let winter stop your running. The True Motion Women’s U-Tech Nevos Elements Running Shoes provide cushioning, a water-repellent upper, and enhanced grip. Winter running features are combined with the injury reduction potential of True Motion’s U-TECH™ technology.
Underfoot Feel
The outsole provides enhanced traction on wet road surfaces. This results from True Motion’s MotionGrip outsole material.
We do not position the Nevos Elements as pure trail running shoes. However, the tread pattern and lug depth is more pronounced than you would find on a pair of pure road running shoes. This grip pattern will cope well with wet grass and sections of mud.
In short, when underfoot conditions may be slippy due to winter weather, the Nevos Elements should cope with the challenge.
It is well worth remembering that these are True Motion running shoes. This means that they contain U-TECH™ technology. U-TECH™ is designed to reduce the chance of injury at the knee and Achilles Tendon. This is achieved by reducing harmful rotational forces on the foot, ankle and knee.
In comparison to the original Nevos Elements, this version contains 30% more U-TECH™ foam in the forefoot and the rearfoot. This results in substantial levels of cushioning.
Upper Fit
The upper is optimised for winter running conditions too. A two-layer woven Jacquard mesh provides a secure fit, weather protection and warmth. A durable water repellent (DWR)-treated mesh on the upper helps to keep water out. TPU film overlays at the heel also help to keep your feet dry.
We should highlight that the Nevos Element are not waterproof running shoes. However, they should provide a great balance between weather protection and breathability in winter running conditions.
A loop at the heel helps to make it easy to put on these running shoes.
Ideal Run Type
The True Motion Women’s U-Tech Nevos Elements Running Shoes are best for runs on roads or light trails in winter weather conditions. They will be best at low to moderate speeds, but will be suitable for almost any distance. True Motion running shoes are not designed to be categorised as neutral or stability running shoes in the traditional sense. U-TECH™ technology makes these running shoes suitable for a wide range of runners.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
